On the first day of Christmas ...
... I decorated my room.
Festive, no?
Usually when we put up the tree and decorations at home, we have a truckload of Christmas tapes and CDs, including a Disney one that I can't find a link to.
Today? I have just two Christmas songs on my computer: Jingle Bell Rock and Happy Christmas (War Is Over) which happen to be my favourites. If I could have a few more, I'd pick Deck the Halls, Joy to the World, and Ding Dong Merrily on High.
Which songs do you need to have for it to begin to feel a lot like Christmas?

White Christmas. Stupid, I know, but I love that song, and it always feels like Christmas when I play it. Yes, even in 35 degree heat and humidity in the 90s. Agree with Jingle Bell Rock. Santa Baby, All I Want For Christmas, Rockin Around the Christmas Tree, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, I could go on forever!
ReplyDeleteI love Christmas. In the two weeks before Christmas, all I play in my car are Christmas songs. Oh, and Elf. I ALWAYS watch Elf at Christmas time.
on this winter's night. umm... o holy night (enya version in gaelic). silent night. little drummer boy. santa you're too fat. seasons of love. what's this (from nightmare before xmas) happy xmas (war is over) a long december and better days . not xmas carols but you get the idea

I strongly dislike Christmas music. Bah Humbug! But, I do like hearing choirs full of children sing silent night. Other than that, no thanks.
ReplyDeleteYeah.... Deck the halls!
ReplyDeleteDeck the halls with kerosene
fa la la la la, la la la la
Light a match and watch it gleam
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Now the School is burned to ashes
fa la la la la la la
Aren't you glad we played with matches
Fa la la la la, la la la!
So festive....
