New camera

I have always enjoyed taking photos but have never had a really good camera. For Christmas, the boyfriend got me a Doctor Who lunchbox, many chocolates, and a DSLR camera. He really does pay attention, that boy.

I have a lot to learn, but so far I am really enjoying figuring it all out.

It can take photos of people in cars:

And babies:

And after I read the manual (although clearly before I read it closely enough) it took photos of nature:

I will spare you all the Christmas lunch and family photos, however.

Anyone have any tips and tricks?
